Yoshi's Island is a departure from the standard Mario formula, which works, but it's too bad Nintendo never went back to it.

The replay value of Yoshi's Island is high. The level design is pure genius. Without the good levels, this game would have been terrible. The art is beautiful, and the music is wonderful. Yoshi's Island music is actually worth listening to outside of the game.

I give Yoshi's Island a 9.5/10 [nearly perfect].
